HINSDALE —Doug Fuller and his partners got the later hours they wanted from the Hinsdale Village Board and plan to have a family restaurant open by the fall. Fuller plans to convert the southern portion of Fuller’s Home & Hardware store, on Garfield and First streets, into a two-story restaurant and bar that will serve less expensive meals than some other restaurants in town. HINSDALE — The Savory Spice Shop in downtown Hinsdale closed April 30 after about a year and half in business. The store selling herbs, seasonings, extracts, baking ingredients and dressings was a franchise of a Denver-based company, and the first retail venture for owner David Trout of Roselle. Trout could not be reached for comment. The store, at 42 S. Washington St., opened in October 2011. Last August, Trout stated business was great.
