The Hinsdale Middle School eighth-grade girls basketball team was recently recognized with an Ambassador of Excellence award from the Hinsdale-Clarendon Hills District 181 Board of Education.

The team not only captured the conference championship this season, but also finished with a perfect 13-0 record.

The team has gone undefeated for the last two years. Coach and HMS teacher Dan Powers says he cannot remember a time in his 12-year career with the school that a team has had back-to-back undefeated seasons in any sport, boys or girls.~.
