Magdalena Z. Boland, of LaGrange Highlands was named to the dean’s list at Millikin University for spring 2012. Boland is a senior in the College of Fine Arts.

Oak Brook residents were conferred degrees from North Central college, including a bachelor’s degree to Jacquelyn McMahon and a master’s degree to Kajanda Love.

Brendan Thayer of Western Springs earned a bachelor degree from North Central College during its commencement recently.

The following students recently graduated from Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Ind.:

From Clarendon Hills: Maureen Barrett, daughter of Colleen and Richard Barrett, bachelor of arts in sociology; Kristen Glomb, daughter of Louise and Todd Glomb, bachelor of arts in art history and humanistic studies

From Burr Ridge: Kathryn Wagner, daughter of Cynthia and Robert Wagner, bachelor of arts in elementary education

Michelle Farr of La Grange, was named to the 2012 spring semester dean’s list at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.

Caroline Berger of Hinsdale was named to the University of Delaware’s dean’s list for spring 2012.

Students awarded diplomas at Denison University’s commencement held recently included:

From Clarendon Hills:

Christine Layne Fayette was awarded a bachelor of arts degree. Fayette graduated with a double major in French and international studies. She was awarded an Alumni Award Scholarship. Fayette studied off-campus for a semester with the American University Center of Provence Program in France. She received the Distinguished Leadership Award and is a member of Rho Lambda, the national sorority leadership recognition society. Fayette participated in the Habitat for Humanity, First-Year Programming Board, Relay for Life, Yoga Club, Zumba, WDUB radio station and The Denisonian newspaper. She was a senior interviewer for the Office of Admissions, a professional development fellow at Career Exploration and Development and worked with the DU LEAD Planning Committee and the International Studies Program Committee. Fayette is a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.

From La Grange:

Michael Vahe Garabedian was awarded a bachelor of arts degree. Garabedian graduated with a major in communication. He was awarded an Alumni Award Scholarship. Garabedian worked for the Denisonian newspaper and the Denison Sports Network and Sports Information Department. He was a member of the varsity men’s basketball team.

From Western Springs:

Griffin Sprague Kinzie of Western Springs was awarded a bachelor of arts degree. Kinzie graduated with a major in history and a minor in Spanish. He was awarded both an Alumni Scholarship and a Robert C. and Carol G. Alexander Scholarship.

Peter A. Krivicich of Western Springs was selected by Northwestern University Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences for the dean’s list for spring quarter 2011-2012.

Marquette University announced its spring 2012 graduates:
