Campus notes for July 5

Sophia M. Tatum, of La Grange was named to the dean’s lists/honor roll for the spring semester of the 2011-2012 academic year at The University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Tatum, a freshman journalism major, is in the university’s College of Journalism and Mass Communications.

Zachary Hucko of Burr Ridge, graduated from the University of Minnesota, Crookston with a bachelor of science degree in golf and turf management. Hucko completed his degree requirements during spring semester 2012.

Spencer Schumacher of Hinsdale recently graduated from the University of San Diego. Schumacher earned bachelor’s degrees in theatre arts and business administration. Schumacher completed the requirements for graduation in January and walked in the May ceremony.

Christopher Lankford of Clarendon Hills graduated from the University of St. Thomas spring 2012, with a bachelor of arts degree in philosophy.

Michael J. Harper, a resident of La Grange, hasbeen named to the dean’s list at Boston University for the spring semester.

Sam Cushing, a resident of Oak Brook, was named by the Division of General Studies at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign to its dean’s list for the spring 2012 semester. Cushing completed his freshman year and was accepted to the Business School at UIUC. Sam graduated from Hinsdale Central High School.

Alyssa Smith, a resident of Western Springs, was named by The University of Toledo to its spring 2012 dean’s list.

Anders Swanson of Western Springs recently earned a bachelor of arts degree in mathematics with a K-12 education certification and minored in Spanish from Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa.

Matthew Ver Beek, a resident of Clarendon Hills, received a bachelor of arts degree in markets and culture, and Spanish during the recent commencement ceremony.

Maximilian Jacobs from Hinsdalereceived a bachelor of arts degree from Wake Forest University during commencement exercises recently.

Allison E. Emery, a member of the Class of 2012 at Colby College in Waterville, Maine, was named to the dean’s list for her outstanding academic achievement during the spring semester of the 2011-2012 year. Emery received a bachelor of arts degree, majoring in government. Emery is the daughter of David and Susan Emery of Clarendon Hills.

Adriana Hoak, a graduate of Lyons Township High School, has been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at The College of Wooster. Hoak is a sophomore history and Chinese double major from Indian Head Park.

Eric Donnelly, son of Terence and Joan Donnelly of Burr Ridge, has received a bachelor of science degree from the Northwestern University McCormick School of Engineering. He graduated cum laude. Donnelly, a graduate of Fenwick High School, was a chemical engineering major. He was a member of Tau Beta Pi, Kappa Theta Epsilon and Omega Chi Epsilon honor societies. Donnelly also played on the Northwestern University Club Hockey team.
