Burglary reported on County Line Road in Hinsdale

HINSDALE — A home on the 300 block of South County Line Road was broken into Saturday afternoon.
The residents of the 300 block of South County Line Road left about 1:30 p.m. Jan. 12. When they returned at 3 p.m., they noticed a window was open. Someone had removed the screen from the window and forced the window up, Deputy Police Chief Mark Wodka said.
The master bedroom of the home had been ransacked, Wodka said. The homeowners reported jewelry was missing from the bedroom and a sertling silver tea set was taken from the dining room. The homeowners will provide a more complete list of missing items.
Police ask anyone with information that may assist in the investigation, including possible video surveillance footage from private residential video surveillance systems in the area, contact the investigations division at (630) 789-7070.
