Hinsdale police offer safety and self-defense class

HINSDALE
The Hinsdale Police Department is presenting a safety and self-defense class designed for female high school and college students
This 2 1/2 hour class will address awareness, alertness, preparation and self –defense techniques that will help in many situations. Students will spend half of the time in the classroom and the other half learning self-defense techniques, practicing them and then being put in a controlled situation where you will use the techniques that you have learned.
It teaches women to be prepared for any and everything, known and unknown to prevent from becoming a victim.
The class will be held from1-3:30 p.m. Jan. 3 at the Hinsdale Police Department located at 121 Symonds Drive.
