HINSDALE — The family of Andrew Park, the Hinsdale Central student who died June 30 after a three-plus-year fight with cancer, has scheduled a celebration service of his life.

The service is scheduled for 6 p.m. July 12 at Calvary English Chapel, 704 McHenry Road, Wheeling.

The Park family has requested that Hinsdale Central students attending dress in casual wear, preferably in “Devil Red,” a school color, in Park’s honor. Anyone planning to attend the celebration service is asked to not wear black.

For those wanting to make donations in Park’s name, the family has not yet decided where to contribute, but is considering a fund for families of patients in financial need at Children’s Memorial Hospital, who are in the pediatric intensive care unit intensive care unit, or the hematology/oncology floors.

Donations can be mailed to: PO Box 335, Hinsdale IL 60522
