George H. McCaskey, chairman of the board of the Chicago Bears, paid a surprise visit to Madison School Tuesday to recognize and present a gift to second-grader Luke Adams, the national winner of the 6-7 age group in Punt, Pass and Kick competition.
Luke, 7, represented the Bears when he won the 50-year-old event at the national finals Dec. 14 in Baltimore. He was introduced on national TV, along with other age-group winners, during the Dec. 15 playoff game between the Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans.
Along with the gift for Luke, McCaskey presented small gifts to all of the second-graders.
