The Children’s Home + Aid Women’s Board will celebrate its 92nd year at its annual gala Sept. 7 at the Four Seasons Hotel, 120 E. Delaware, Chicago. The evening will include cocktails, dinner, dancing and the presentation of the Pauline Potter Palmer Award. Tickets are $500. Celestial Ball
The Women’s Board of the Adler Planetarium will hold its annual Celestial Ball Sept. 8 at the Adler Planetarium, 1300 S. Lake Shore Dr., Chicago. The black-tie gala will include cocktails, dinner and dancing to the orchestra, Sway. Tickets are $600 per person. For more information, e-mail

Charity golf
Bob Chinn’s 10th annual Charity Golf Outing will take place Sept. 10 at Chevy Chase Country Club in Wheeling and The Arboretum Golf Club in Buffalo Grove. Spots at Chevy Chase are already sold out for the event and foursome spots are filling quickly at The Arboretum. The entry fee is $225 through Sept. 7 and $250 the day of the event. Harvest Ball
The Guild of the Chicago Botanic Garden will hold the 14th annual Harvest Ball at 6 p.m. Sept. 22 at 1000 Lake Cook Road in Glencoe. The black-tie affair will feature a silent and live auction, a cocktail reception and dinner. Tickets are $550. Proceeds will benefit the Chicago Botanic Garden’s youth and teacher education program.
