There are as many sides to a story as there are people — or bears — involved. That’s the premise behind, “The Trial of Goldilocks,” being presented by Children’s Theatre of Western Springs’ Touring Troupe, 2-3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11 at Indian Prairie Public Library, 401 Plainfield Road, Darien.
“It’s kind of a fractured fairy tale,” said Children’s Theatre Director Leslie Price. “Instead of the story that everyone knows, we hear the story from everyone’s point of view. It’s set up like a trial so there are attorneys and there’s a judge who’s very funny. They act out everyone’s version of what happened.”
The cast includes eight middle-school students who were participants in a class held at the Theatre of Western Springs. Students were cast in the show and class time was used for rehearsals. They are presenting the show at local libraries most Saturdays through the spring.
