Chamber to
publish new
community map
The West Suburban Chamber of Commerce & Industry is taking orders for its upcoming community map. The 5,000 maps are on target to print this fall, and will be distributed in and around the Chamber’s “Great Eight” communities of Countryside, Hodgkins, Indian Head Park, La Grange, LaGrange Park, McCook, Western Springs and Willow Springs.
The full-color, glossy community map will feature a street-level community map showing local points of interest such as schools, parks, water features, landmarks and tourist attractions. There also is a regional map showing primary and secondary roads and major points of interest.
Depending on space, the community map will include a concise community profile, which highlights local events; important phone numbers; listings for community organizations, shops and restaurants, entertainment and cultural venues; and information about the West Suburban Chamber of Commerce.
La Grange receives Illinois EPA Award Grant
Illinois EPA Interim Director John Kim recently announced the award of nearly $5 million in Green Infrastructure Grants designed to reduce the amount of pollution running into Illinois waterways from stormwater sources.
The village was awarded $489,000 for the Project —Parking Lot 13 Green Infrastructure Retrofit. A description follows: Retrofit commuter parking lot to permeable pavement will reduce runoff into combined sewer system.
Schmutte named sales manager
of Seasons 52
Seasons 52, the highly acclaimed fresh grill and wine bar restaurant, has named Nicole Schmutte the field sales manager for its Oak Brook restaurant.
Prior to joining the Seasons 52 team in Oak Brook, Schmutte served as the field sales manager at the Seasons 52 in Schaumburg, where she booked, planned and executed private events. Her experience also includes serving as event manager for Pinstripes, Inc. in Northbrook, and parties and special events manager for Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises, Inc. based in Chicago.
Seasons 52 at Oakbrook Center seats 321 diners, including 96 in the piano bar, which will feature live music every night. The restaurant will offer four private dining rooms and an exclusive chef’s table.
Chiro One Wellness Centers’ CEO named

Chiro One Wellness Centers’ CEO, Dr. Stuart Bernsen, D.C. was recently named a finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2012 program in the Midwest. The award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their business and communities. Bernsen was selected from a large pool of nominations by a panel of independent judges. Awards will be presented at a special gala on June 21 at the Hilton Chicago Hotel.
