Hinsdale Central student charged with drug possession

HINSDALE
A 16-year-old from Hinsdale was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of stolen property at Hinsdale Central High School.
The police reported someone saw the student leave a high school restroom where there was a strong odor of burnt marijuana about 10:40 a.m. Oct. 30.
Officials questioned the teen and found he had marijuana and a pipe used to smoke marijuana with him, plus a white pill, available only by prescription. The pill had not been prescribed for the student.
He also allegedly had a calculator that had been reported stolen by another student.
The teenager, who also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, was released to his parents’ custody and will appear in Juvenile Court.~.
