BURR RIDGE — Linda Painter said she is looking forward to another term as DuPage County Forest Preserve District 3 commissioner after her unofficial win Tuesday over challenger Steve Leopoldo.
“I’m looking forward to working with the new board,” said Painter. Three new commissioners were elected to the board in Tuesday’s election.
Painter led Leopoldo with 57.72 percent of the vote after 125 of 128 precincts were counted.
“I’m very happy that the people have entrusted me with another term,” Painter said.
