Union Church youth group returns from Tennessee mission trip

HINSDALE — The high school youth group at the Union Church of Hinsdale, United Church of Christ, spent a week in East Tennessee partnering with Sunset Gap Community Center in Cosby, Tenn. last month. This is the third time the UCH youth have worked with Sunset Gap as they continue building a unique relationship with our mission partner.
Twenty-four high school youth and six adults spent the week working with two families doing home repairs (roofing and painting) and spending a lot of time in relationship with the families they were serving. They were told when they left they were now “kin” and are expected to visit next summer when they return.
